Maliek De Alwis is an experienced business executive and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ma’s Tropical Food Processing (Pvt) Ltd, a leading food solutions company in Sri Lanka. Throughout his career in the food processing industry, he has been involved in all parts of the process, especially in supply chain management, production, exports, sales and marketing operations.

He has a bachelor’s in economics specialising in International Agribusiness from the University of Adelaide. Mr De Alwis has served as the President of the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association. And has served as a member of the executive committee of the National Agribusiness Council.

He has also been a member of the Advisory committees on the processed food sector at the Ministry of Industries and the Export Development Board, as well as a member of the Food Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health.

As a strong advocate for industry growth and support, he has been actively involved in various projects and initiatives aimed at promoting and developing the food processing industry in Sri Lanka.
