Gamini Gunasekera joined Union Carbide Lanka Ltd (UCLL) (subsidiary of Union Carbide Corporation U.S.A.) as an Operation Engineer and rose up to the position of Managing Director in the year 2000 which he holds to date. During his career with UCLL he gained the experience in the areas of Production, Industrial Safety, Engineering, Research & Development.
Gamini Gunasekera has undergone many training programs sponsored by Union Carbide Corporation U.S.A., AOTS and ILO in several countries includes U.S.A., Japan, Italy, Singapore and China.
During his 40 years career in chemical industry, he has received the many awards such as, Platinum Honours (PIM) Alumni – 2009, Most Promising Entrepreneur – Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2013 & Sri Lanka Entrepreneur of the year 2010 -Silver Award.
