Main Functions

Develop an Industrial Estate network with necessary facilities to provide land to setup Industries. |

Facilitate the Industrial Sector with necessary infrastructure for the smooth functioning of industries. |
|
Facilitate investors by addressing the issues pertaining to release of lands, environmental clearance and approval of local authorities etc. to expedite the projects. |
|
Maintaining a land bank to provide suitable land for industries with an updated data base which include details of suitable land in Sri Lanka. |
|
Coordinate with both Government and Non – Government Organizations (Chambers, Associations etc.) in addressing the issues which affect the industrialists. |
|
Leading the way to facilitate the Industrialists with “Gamata Karmantha Project” to set up industries in Divisional Secretariat Divisions around the island under the proposed “300 Factory Programme” stated in the “Mahinda Chinthana” policy statement to upgrade regional industrialization. |
